Privacy Policy
This website asks you for personal data in exactly one place: the form where you leave your email address to join the waitlist or book a demo. Beyond that, the only personal data that exists are the ordinary server logs and the short-lived submission limiter described in section 2. There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
1. Who is responsible
MeowWa is a project name, not a registered company. The site is run by its founder as an individual. That person is the controller of the personal data described here. There is no registered office to show until a company is formed. You can reach the controller at danielni0418@outlook.com.
This policy covers the website only. The MeowWa app is an internal alpha that is not open to the public. When it opens, it will carry its own privacy notice covering pet profiles, recordings, and wallet activity.
2. What we collect
The form
When you submit the form at the bottom of the home page we receive:
- your email address (required);
- your name, if you choose to give it;
- your message, if you choose to write one;
- the time you submitted the form and the version of this policy you agreed to.
Nothing else on the form is collected. There are no hidden fields, and we do not append information from other sources.
Technical data our hosting provider records
Like every website, ours runs on servers that keep request logs. Our hosting provider, Google Cloud, records the IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of each request. We use these logs only to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
To stop the form being abused, our server keeps the address of each connection that submits the form, with the times it did so, in memory for ten minutes, and refuses more than a handful of submissions in that window. Nothing from this is written to a database or sent anywhere.
What we do not collect
- No cookies are set by this site, and no local storage is used.
- No analytics or measurement service runs on this site.
- No advertising network, pixel, or social media plugin is loaded.
- No third party content is embedded. Fonts are served from our own server.
- No payment details: this site takes no payment and connects no wallet.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To answer you and to run the waitlist. We use your email address, name and message to reply to a demo request and to tell you when alpha or testnet spots open. Basis: your consent, given with the checkbox on the form (GDPR and UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.
- To keep the site secure. Request logs and the submission counter protect the site against abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure service (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To meet legal obligations, for example to respond to a lawful request. Basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
We do not use your data for automated decision making or profiling, and we never sell it or share it for advertising.
4. Who processes it for us
The services below receive personal data when you use the form. This list is exact: it names every service the form can send your data to. Each handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Links on this site to Basescan open a third party website that we do not control. Its own privacy policy applies once you are there.
5. International transfers
Our website and database run in us-west1 (Oregon, United States), and the services above are based in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your data is transferred outside your region. Where a provider offers them, those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission for data from the EEA, on the UK Addendum or International Data Transfer Agreement for data from the United Kingdom, and on the Swiss adjustments for data from Switzerland. You can ask us at the contact address for details of the safeguards that apply to each provider.
6. How long we keep it
- Form submissions: until the alpha programme ends or you ask us to delete them, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you.
- Emails in our mailbox: until we delete them, which we do once a conversation is closed.
- Discord notifications, where that channel is configured: deleted from the channel when we delete your submission.
- Email delivery records: kept by Resend under its own retention policy.
- Hosting logs: kept by Google Cloud for its default period, 30 days.
- Submission limiter: the connection address and the times it submitted, ten minutes, in memory only.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:
- to know whether we hold data about you, and to receive a copy;
- to have inaccurate data corrected;
- to have your data deleted;
- to restrict or object to how we use it;
- to receive it in a portable format;
- to withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect what was done before you withdrew it;
- to complain to a supervisory authority. In the EEA that is the data protection authority of your country; in the UK it is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
If you are a California resident, you also have the right to know what we collect and why, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
To exercise any right, email danielni0418@outlook.com from the address you used on the form, or reply to any email we have sent you with the word remove. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within one month, and within 45 days for requests under California law.
8. Children
This website and the MeowWa alpha are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and never from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted the form, email us and we will delete the submission.
9. Security
Data travels to us over encrypted connections (TLS). Access to the database and mailbox is limited to the people who run MeowWa. The website holds no passwords, card numbers, or wallet keys, because it never asks for them.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
